Heavy duty support for your Sportster or Buell 5-speed gearbox. Carefully CNC machined to exacting tolerances From 7075-T6 aircraft alloy billet to provide unsurpassed support for the transmission mainshaft, countershaft, and shift drum to improve gear life, provide positive shifting, and quieter operation. ‘71-’84 IRON HEAD 4-SPEED, CHAIN DRIVE
077101 Retains stock ‘71-’84 shell, includes (1) center hub, (1) thick steel backing plate, (9) thin steel driven plates, (8) friction plates of your choice, (1) pressure plate with backing plate and release bearing installed, (6) spring cups, (6) springs of your choice, (6) spring collars, and (6) spring retaining nuts. Retains stock appearing primary cover.

079000 series Intended for use under a stock primary cover where stock outward appearance is important. NOTE: The shell on the 079000 series clutch feature 59 teeth compared to the 56 teeth on a stock 5-speed clutch shell. This requires the use of a 96 pitch primary chain, included with the kit. This also changes the primary drive ratio from 1.600 to 1.685 and will increase the engine RPM at any given road speed. If this is undesirable, the rear wheel gearing must be changed to compensate.
